Cristiano Ronaldo has opened his fifth hotel with rooms that will set you back over £370 a night.
The Manchester United legend transcends football and one of his many alternative career ventures is his hospitality business. He has now added to his properties in Lisbon, Madrid, New York and his native island of Madeira with a new hotel in Marrakech, Morocco.
It has 174 rooms, ranging from £158 to £372 a night, plus a spa, business centre, rooftop pool and, of course, a gym. Ronaldo’s approach to life is also central to the menu, as it focuses on ‘healthy food and drink’.
“When I opened the first hotel with the Pestana Group in 2016, our ambition was to create an international brand,” Ronaldo said as the first bookings were welcomed online. “From that first stop in Madeira, our home, followed by the hotel in Lisbon, we have already expanded to Madrid and New York.
“Opening this hotel in Marrakech takes us to the fifth city. But more than a number, it represents my connection with a country that fascinates me and where I always feel welcome.”

The 37-year-old also said a sixth hotel is being built as “the expansion of Pestana CR7 Lifestyle Hotels will continue”. He is, of course, nearing the end of his playing career, which will give him more time to focus on his many projects.
Pestana Group Chairman Dionisio Pestana added: “The partnership between Pestana Hotel Group and Cristiano Ronaldo enters a new chapter, with the first hotel in Africa.
“A continent where the group began its internationalization more than 20 years ago and where there is a true and unconditional passion for football, where Cristiano is an expert.”
Guests can book to stay at the new Pestana CR7 Marrakech and can choose from a range of rooms including: CR7 Room, CR7 Room Avenue, CR7 Superior, CR7 Superior Avenue, CR7 Junior Suite, CR7 Junior Suite Avenue, CR7 Suite and CR7 Suite Ave.
